Brisbane On the RoadBrisbane, Australia
Originally founded back in 1824 as a colony for british prisoners, Brisbane is now the third largest city in Australia.
Here you can experience an important port city, a regional trading centre, and it's many cultural sights. There is lots to see and do - the great shopping streets, art galleries and museums, or one of many theatres. The atmosphere in the city is quite interesing, as it is very laid-back, and it feels like a nice little city, not at all the big capital city it is. You will also be able to experience all of this at the Fortitude Valley Weekend Market, which offers many interesting things such as handmade jewellery.
Since it is always warm and sunny, you can go out and explore the great riverside park, or the Australian Woolshed, and attractive park where you can have a picnic or see the special animals particular to Austrlia, such as koalas and kangaroos in the fauna park.
Didn't get enough exitement in the city? Driving an hour or two you will see that the city is surrounded by rainforests, mountains, waterfalls and beaches, ready for you to explore and discover.
At the end of the day, there are also plenty of possiblilities for going out. Bars, cafes, and the Brisbane nightlife is always ready for you!
