We are on the top of the city, a 15 min tram ride from the CBD and a short 2 min walk from bustling Smith and Brunswick street, a must visit for anyone staying this side of the city.

Smith and Brunswick Streets are made up of some of the best clubs and night life that Melbourne has to offer, and through the day you will find the best bargains at the many thrift and second hand shops.
For a more cultured taste, Smith street is home to a famous collection of art galleries and more coffee shops than you could poke a biscuit at.

At Travellers Trax our first priority is your comfort and entertainment, and as such we have a host of extras that we give to you at no additional cost, such as Wifi ADSL2+ unlimited, free computers, free lockers, individual food and cutlery bags, and a large outside terrace.

The Barley Corn is not our only venue, we also provide long term accommodation in rooming houses situated around Melbourne which we give first preference to guests who stay with us here at the Barley Corn.

We offer entertainment Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays at The Barley Corn Hotel downstairs and host some of Melbourne's best live entertainment. Entry is always free for guests staying with us.

Rooms vary from 10 person dorm rooms to private twin and double rooms. We are also very accommodating so if you have any special requests please do not hesitate in letting us know.

We have an entrance on the street side of the building, security is always a priority for us to ensure that our guests feel comfortable in there stay here with us so as such every guest is given a security code for the main entrance (it can be a little tricky to be noticed outside as the entrance is at the bottom of the stairs, so make sure you write down the number and you can call it when you arrive as we have a live in care taker on site).
