How to get to the hostel FROM THE AIRPORT, WAVERLEY STATION:

1. Bus No. 35 will take you all the way from the airport to the top of the Meadow Park (bus stop and the street is called Forrest Road). It will take between 45-55min. The bus ticket costs £1.50 - you need exact change as none is given. Once you get off walk back to the top of the park and continue walking for another 10 min.

2. Bus No. 100 (AIRLINK airport shuttle) + Bus No. 41 (or walk).

Take the bus Number 100 AIRLINK (£3.5 single ticket/ £6 return) and go out at the last stop (Waverley Station). Once you there, there are 2 options:

By Bus: To get to Argyle Backpackers from Waverley Station, catch a number 41 bus from the Mound (go up to Princess Street, it's the parallel street to Waverley Station) in the ‘Craighouse’ direction. Ask the bus driver to stop at Warrender Park Road, the name of the bus stop is ‘Roseneath Street’. The bus ticket costs £1.50 - you need exact change as none is given. The hostel is on Argyle Place which is just around the corner from Warrender Park Road, opposite the Argyle Pub, there is a white sign out the front.

On foot: You can walk up the Mound to the Royal Mile, keep heading straight over George IV Bridge and then go right at the ‘Y’ intersection, cross the road at the traffic lights and head straight down a walking only path. This will take you to the Meadows (the largest park in Edinburgh). Walk straight across the Meadows to the other side where the traffic lights are on Melville Drive. This is the bottom of Argyle Place so head straight up the street and the backpackers is on your left hand side with a white sign out the front.

3. TAXI. Taxi ride to the airport takes about 30min, costs around £18 - £20. Taxi ride to the train station (Waverley) costs around £6-£7.
- Please bring valid ID for check in Passport /driving licence (UK residents too) - You will be charged £10 (in cash) as a deposit for the room key, refundable upon check-out - GROUPS OF 4+ PEOPLE must contact up via Phone or Email, otherwise we won't accept the booking and the deposit paid online will not be refunded - Cancellations must be made at least 48h in advance (by 10:30am on your arrival day) and it must be confirmed by reception via email. Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first 2 nights of your booking. - CONTACT US if you are planning to arrive after 9PM - A TRIPLE ROOM can be: 3 x 1single bed or 1double bed + 1single bed or 1double bed + bunk bed - A TWIN ROOM can be: 2 single beds or a bunk bed - Any guest under the age of 18 can stay only in a private room with family member who is over 18 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please note: - Hostel may contact you to confirm card details and ask for CVV code to be able to charge the non-refundable deposit. Failure on processing the payment will cause a cancellation of your booking. -The hostel will charge your card in case of 1 night booking prior arrival on check in date and prior sending late arrival instructions. IMPORTANT information for AUGUST Please Note: You will be charged a non-refundable deposit for the first night shortly after you've made the booking on-line (This is the remaining 90% of the price for the first night; please note this charge is not what you are paying online at the moment of booking, but will be incurred afterwards). The other nights can be cancelled, however 72h notice must be given. In the case of no show up, you will be charged for the whole stay. There is a MINIMUM OF 2 NIGHTS stay from 1st to 31st August (exceptions could be made if there are gaps between the bookings). IMPORTANT information for CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR Please Note: You will be charged a non-refundable deposit for the first night shortly after you've made the booking on-line (This is the remaining 90% of the price for the first night; please note this charge is not what you are paying online at the moment of booking, but will be incurred afterwards). The other nights can be cancelled, however 72h notice must be given. In the case of no show up, you will be charged for the whole stay. It's only a 10-15 min walk to the old town to EDINBURGH CASTLE, ROYAL MILE, NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SCOTLAND and other city attractions. And only 2 min away from the beautiful central MEADOWS PARK - the main place for events during EDINBURGH FESTIVAL!

-Reception is open from 09.00-22.00 (UK time).
- Our check-in time is 2pm - 10pm. PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 11PM. If you fail to give us notice we will not check you in and will charge you for the first night.
-Passport /driving licence is required to check in
-GROUPS OF 4+ PEOPLE MUST PHONE TO BOOK, otherwise we won't accept the booking and the deposit paid online will not be refunded.
-Cancellations must be made at least 48h in advance (by 10:30am on your arrival day) and it must be confirmed by reception via email.
-A TRIPLE ROOM can be: 3 x 1single bed or 1double bed + 1single bed
-A Twin ROOM can be: 2 single beds or a bunk bed
-Any guest under the age of 18 can stay only in a private room with family member who is over 21.
-There is a charge of 1.2% for the use of credit/debit card (there is an ATM just around the corner form the hostel)

You will be charged a non-refundable deposit for the first night shortly after you've made the booking on-line (This is the remaining 90% of the price for the first night; please note this charge is not what you are paying online at the moment of booking, but will be incurred afterwards). The other nights can be cancelled, however 72h notice must be given. In the case of no show up, you will be charged for the whole stay.
There is a MINIMUM OF 3 NIGHTS stay from 5th to 27th August (exceptions could be made if there are gaps between the bookings).

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE NEW YEAR:
There is a MINIMUM OF 3 NIGHTS stay required during New Years and we don't accept any cancellation after 19th November. Your c/c will be charged the outstanding amount shortly after the booking was made.
