If you arrive by car we are on the left hand side on Maket Street, the yellow house situated on the top of the hill. If you are travelling by bus there are 2 companies with services from Galway,Bus Eireann.ie and Citylink.ie,offering 8-10 services a day.We are located 50 meters from the bus stop on Market Street.

For all bookings of more than 3 persons a curfew may apply, please contact hostel directly for more information. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate hen or stag parties. If we feel on arrival that your group may be a stag or a hen party you will be denied access and there will be no refunds made. Minimum age of 18 applies to all guest reservations except where children are staying in the same private bedroom as parents. (not dormitory). Clifden scathing the western seaboard of Ireland and bounding the periphery of Europe is a most tempting and welcoming oasis to the seasoned and novice traveller alike.

Clifden Town Hostel itself offers the best in value and comfort under the helpful watch of its staff and management. We have 2 self-catering kitchens and a very comfortable common room. All of our rooms are bright and airy and some offer you sea view. There are many cafes, restaurants and bars with traditional music within a 3/4/min walk.
Clifden is the ideal base to explore all Connemara has to offer whether it is Hiking in the numerous mountains, a cycle trip across the Bog Road to Roundstone or a 3/4 hour walk along the Skyroad with its views to Clifden Bay and the many islands located some KM\'s offshore.You can also visit Inishboffin Island for a day trip or visit the Connemara national Park where you can take the 3 hour hike to the Diamond Hill 550m.
