Overview of Hostel

*YHA Bath is undergoing a £2m refurbishment this winter. We are refurbishing the main building, creating a new reception and cafe bar and building a new annexe with all en-suite accommodation. Unfortunately this means that YHA Bath is now closed and will re-open again in Spring 2018.

From M4 take Jct 18, follow signs to Bath. At Cleveland Place (London Road) follow signs to University of Bath & American Muesum.

From South West follow A36 to roundabout on Pulteney Road. Take 3rd exit, signposted University of Bath & American Museum. From A46, follow signs to Bath, at roundabout on Pulteney Road take 1st exit, signposted University of Bath & American Museum. Hostel is 1.5km from bottom of hill on left hand side of road.

There are also frequent buses between the railway and coach station, the city centre and the University of Bath which all stop right outside YHA Bath. Look out for the U1 or U18 bus. These buses run 24 hours a day and you can buy return and all day tickets for the route on the bus. Ask the driver for “the Youth Hostel”.

Parking is on Bathwick Hill and is free and unrestricted.

Please note, we do not charge an additional temporary membership fee. Discounts are not available for members of YHA (England & Wales) or IYHF as part of this booking. YHA Bath is a listed building and welcomes all types of guests. However, if you have a child under the age of 3 years or any other special requirement, please mention at the time of booking and we will try and move you to the most suitable room available. ***We cannot accept bookings in dormitory accommodation for persons aged between 16-18 without an accompanying adult over the age of 18. People aged between 16- 18 who wish to stay without an adult must book a private room. If you are travelling with a person under the age of 16, who is of the opposite sex, then you must also book a private room, as no one under this age is permitted to stay in a dormitory without an adult.**** All guests must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. Driver’s licence, passport, student ID or similarly recognised national identity cards are accepted. Please note that our breakfast price is £6.25. Check in from 15.00 - 23.00 Ckeck out before 10am Cancellation policy: Cancellation notice must be given at least one full day prior to arrival date. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
