intra muros means ‘within the city walls’, or, ‘in the city centre’. the hostel opened its doors for the first time in august 2018, the brainchild of jason and apollo, who after many trips around the world, decided to combine all the best features they've seen in other accommodations to make their own dream city hostel.

we have 5 dormitory rooms, and one double room. we can accommodate 34 people at any time, without being too cramped.

intra muros is located in the city of heraklion, the busy capital and starting point of every expedition within the unique island of crete. our neighbourhood, “lakkos”, is in the centre of the city, minutes away from all the sights, restaurants, and nightlife. here, you'll enjoy free WiFi, coffee and tea all day, as well as the occasional entertainment from your hosts and other guests. Our rooftop offers views to the beautiful (?) skyscape of Heraklion, and is the ideal spot to relax with a bott

our hostel is the best starting point of every Cretan adventure, as it is near every transportation hub. The nearest bus stop is only 2 minutes away, and can take you to the airport or the nearest beach in less than 20 minutes. The central bus station and the port are also easily accessible, both by bus and by feet (20-25 minutes walking).

intra muros is your home away from home. situated in a century old ex-maternity clinic, it is designed to promote sociability and facilitate meeting other travellers.
