We are a design hostel conveniently located in Botafogo, a great and safe place. Centrally located in Rio de Janeiro, next to the bursting energy of the nightclubs,restaurants, & the beautiful beaches! The Guanabara Bay in Botafogo is the most beautiful bay in Brasil!

Our Hostel is rich on architectural history. It was built 100 years ago. Now the interior fittings are very modern and new, for having the best experience in Rio. Every detail has been thought through and adapted to the individual needs of our guests.

Contemporâneo (or Contemporary Hostel) is a cross-experience in hosting and art. We have a gallery wall dedicated to young artists and guests. All rooms are inspired of art.

The Hostel is located less than 300 meters from the subway. To the beaches Copacabana and Ipanema, it takes you about 6-10 minutes my Metro. These are good places to hang out with great atmosphere.

For your comfort and convenience, Contemporaneo offers two junior suites, two standard suites, one master suite and one special suite for people using wheelchairs, all of the suits are well equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, free WiFi, cable TV and private bathrooms with hot water.

Also we offer shared rooms. We provide mixed, female only and male only dorm rooms, with either 4, 6 or 9 beds. In all accommodations guests will have individual lightning, power outlet, and locker, air conditioning and free WiFi.
