Guest House Kobako offers dorm rooms with bunk beds, as well as private Japanese-style rooms. Free Wi-Fi, rental laptops, shared kitchen and washing machine are available. It is conveniently located only a minute walk from Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art and Heian Jingu Shrine, and within walking distance to many popular sightseeing spots.

Guests can watch TV in the Japanese style lounge while enjoying free tea/coffee. The lounge features a tatami (woven-straw) floor and seating cushions.

All guestrooms are air-conditioned, and smoking is not allowed. Private rooms feature a tatami floor and traditional futon bedding. Towels and toiletries are provided in private rooms. Bathroom facilities are shared. Other facilities include 2 living rooms and a common room.

No regular meals are served. However, guests can buy light meals at the guesthouse.
Luggage can be kept in a locker free of charge, while the washing machine can be used at a fee.

Guest House Kobako is a 1-minute walk from Heian Jingu, Shrine. It is within a 15-minute walk from Ginkaku-ji Temple, and within a 30-minute walk from the Kodai-ji Temple.

The guesthouse offers long-term stay discount. Groups of up to 20 persons can book the entire guesthouse.

The guesthouse is an old private house located in a quiet neighborhood. Please do not chat with friends or on the phone loudly outside the house at night. Walking around the neighborhood while smoking is also prohibited.
