Agoo Hostel is located in central Accra, Ghana in a bright, spacious
house set in a garden, which helps to give the hostel a homely feel much
loved by many of our guests. For the last 4 years, Agoo has been a great
base for backpackers, researchers, artists, interns and volunteers
looking for an informal urban Accra experience. About 3km from the hub-
bub and noise of downtown Accra and Oxford Street, we’re tucked away a
bit. But being a couple of blocks from Central Ring Road, transport in,
around and out of Accra is a relative doddle. The hostel is right behind
the president’s house, which definitely enhances our security.

Our staff is friendly and love to give out local tips on what to do and
see, where to go and how to do get there. We also organize evenings out
and arrange experiences for those if search of something new – visit to
cocoa farm, anyone, or take part in an African dancing class?

The center of our hostel is our large communal table where people eat,
meet and share time. Our guests swap stories and pass on travel tips. It
can also turn into a co-working space with people catching up on emails
or following up on their research project.

We have two dorms for 6, 4 private rooms - 2 with a single bunk bed and
2 with a double bed (all with AC). There are 4 shared shower rooms. Some
rooms have access to large balconies.
