WONA International Youth Hostel is near the Lashihai lakeshore, we have a large lake viewing platform where you can see the scenic area. Theinn covers an area of 1,000 square meters and features Traditional Naxi architecture.

Lashihai Lake area overview: The Lashihai lake covers an area of 5330 hectares. Every winter, tens of thousands of migratory birds come here to spend the winter. December to March is the best time to observe these birds. They include the Himalayan grey crane, geese, red beak ducks and fifty other kinds of birds.

The weather in Lashihai is very mild and seems always like spring with an average temperature of 18 ° to 22 °. During the winter the fluctuation between day and night temperature is very large. If getting off the ground on steeper terrain is your desire, let us take you on our rock climbing adventures. Our professional guiding service has developed more than 20 sport climbing routes in the Lijiang area. These routes range in difficulty from 5.7-5.13. Our guides will also take you to the world class crack climbing destination at the Lijiang Laojunshan National Park, better known as Li Ming. With a climbing style similar to Indian Creek in America, this area stands as China’s premier traditional climbing area. Here we will guide and give you a true Yosemite experience on a few of the two hundred traditional rock climbing routes we’ve developed. In 2012 we successfully organized the Black Diamond and The North Face Laojunshan traditional climbing Festival at this destination. For the past few years this festival was held in Yangshuo, Guanxi. Now it has moved to Li Ming, Yunnan and will continue to for the next few years.
