The Surf Shack creates the perfect setting for meeting new & interesting people, that want to live out their passions for extreme sports or just enjoy the relaxed way of the beach culture in a chilled out environment.

We offer accommodation for everyone who just wants to have a fun time during their stay in Cape Town, close to the beach for kitesurfing, surfing, wake boarding, stand up boarding, windsurfing and lots more......it's your home away from home!

Located in a sought after area close to various shops, restaurants, clubs and the kite surfing paradises of Blouberg beach and Big Bay (home of the Red Bull King of the Air world kite surfing competition) and all feature spectacular views of Table Mountain and the ocean where you can relax.

The communal areas inside consist:
The Chill Lounge - has a 52 inch LCD television, a music centre, a pool table, dart board, some other gaming equipment and board games for your entertainment.

The Comfy Lounge - has a double-sided fire place with luxury comfy couch's, a 42 inch LED television and Playstation 3. This area is for relaxing, reading a magazine or just enjoying the views of table mountain and the ocean.

There is a beautiful luxury open plan kitchen with a large granite breakfast counter leading into the dining area with an antique oak wood 8 seater table. There is also a mini lounge with a fire place. The area has a patio with beautiful views of Table Mountain, where you can have a drink, and just enjoy this spot as the sun sets....

The property has inside parking for 3 cars & 6 outside parking spaces. There is an outside washing line at the back of the house and laundry facilities.

We also have a locked storage area for your surf boards, kites & other sporting equipment. House has 6 bedrooms of which five can be allocated to guests and one remain private to The Surf Shack!

The communal area outside, consists of an open patio decorated with rustic looking hand-made patio furniture, braai facilities, tanning chairs & hammocks in the summer for just hanging around and relaxing and a Fabulous Infinity Pool!

We have a chocolate Labrador and three cats on the premises. They do get bathed on a regular basis and they are not allowed on the furniture or in the rooms, so please help us by keeping the doors of the bedrooms closed to avoid them taking a nap on your bed. They are very friendly pets who are very relaxed. Once you meet them you'll love them! Just so you know, if allergic to them, we did tell you before hand.

Please note:
Cancellation policy: 72h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

We regret but we do not take any children under the age of 10, as The Surf Shack is not adequate nor safe for children under the age of 10.

​The Surf Shack will not be held liable for any injury, that a cures on the premises, and do not take any responsibility for any one's child on the premises!

We are sorry that we have to enforce this policy but it is for everyone's best interest while staying at The Surf Shack.

Please bare in mind we are located in a residential area, so the utmost respect and consideration for the neighbours must be kept regarding noise levels at night. Furniture and contents in the house are not to be vandalized or damaged.

If so, you will be held liable for damages. All guests must respect each others privacy. No smoking allowed in rooms or in the house outside smoking area provided.
