We are situated just 2 km from the oldest red brick building in the southern hemisphere, the famous station at which Ghandi was thrown off the train and about 40 km from Greytown, the country where the well known Angus Bachan lives and made his world famous movie, Faith Like Potatoes. PMB Backpackers Lodge is located near the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and is in close proximity to the Golden Horse Casino, The Scottsville Racecourse and the Scottsville Mall.

We have various shared and private rooms available, with either bunk or single beds. This affordable accommodation in the heart of Pietermaritzburg offers a comfortable stay with large communal areas for chilling out, watching TV or swinging on a hammock. A communal kitchen is also on site.
