This hostel is a former monastery turned into a hostel. The lounge bar is used for contemporary art exhibitions and events.

La Controra Hostel Naples' recently renewed the floor of the rooms, placing art sculptures in the floor tiles featuring sea shells, Neapolitan coffee pots, garlic and chilli peppers, 'ex-voto' and red coral horns (ethnic Neapolitan esoterica and good luck charms!).
