The Mad Monkey Hostel is a relaxed and fun hostel with a brand new swimming pool and poolside bar located close to the old colonial town of Kampot, just a few minutes walk away from the town center, yet quiet enough to be away from the maddening crowds.

Our hostel provides an upmarket swanky atmosphere whilst remaining down to earth and real at the same time. A hostel for adults we are a great place for expats escaping the city, backpackers looking for a great social atmosphere at great prices without having to “Rough it” or single travelers looking to meet new, interesting and likeminded people.

We are western and Khmer run and owned so you get to have all of the authentic Khmer charm with western levels of service. We have a coffee shop, reception and restaurant on the pool level on the ground floor of the hostel serving coffees, cakes and ice cream and packed lunches for a variety of Kampot tours that leave every day a.

The Mad Monkey houses 75 people per night in new and modern rooms, the hostel build was only completed at the start of 2014 so the rooms are large, comfortable and clean.

We do not provide TV's in the rooms, because we have a thriving bar and social scene that actually pulls people in from Kampot to the Mad Monkey hostel just to enjoy the only rooftop bar and facilities. We do provide a TV room and DVD’s if you are missing your dose of television. The Mad Monkey also provides a full tours and travel desk facility to help you get the absolute most out of your stay in this wonderful town.
