The appearance of boutique hotel “Rachmaninov” in the historic centre has become a gift for the city.

Just behind Kazan Cathedral, on a quiet street just two minutes walk from Nevsky Prospect in the building, constructed in the 19th centur, cozy rooms of art-hotel “Rachmaninov” were placed. The hotel is situated within walking distance to the majority of cultural and historical monuments, theatres and museums of the Northern Capital.

The hotel has 25 exclusive rooms, each room has a unique design. The interior is decorated with antique furniture from the collection of the owners of the hotel, which creates special atmosphere that combines the spirit of the Silver Age and the bohemian chic of modern days.

In 2008, on fifth anniversary of the Art-hotel “Rachmaninov”, art performance of 26 prominent artists of Saint-Petersburg was held. Most of them are well-known not only in Russia but also abroad, including members of auction Sotheby’s and Christie’s. Music of composer Sergei Rachmaninov sounded at the Hotel, and contemporary artists, inspired by its images, painted the doors of the rooms. The result exceeded all expectations!
