Great new hostel situated in the old town of Zurich. The former Hotel Otter was transformed to a hostel in 2016 and offers now shared rooms as well as private rooms with the former hotel standards. The Oldtown Hostel Otter is above the legendary Wueste Bar, a small bar with locals as well as other travellers.

The new hostel offers 45 beds. It has 7 dorms and 8 private rooms for moderate prices. Dorm beds get a basic breakfast in the common room, whereas the private rooms get a continental breakfast at the café bar included in the price. The upper floors remain with the previous hotel standard, whereas the lower floors changed into dormitories. The private rooms keep the same services as at the former hotel times.

There is a small kitchenette in the common room with a microwave, fridge and oven to prepare some small food as well as free tea and instant coffee 24 hours. Luggage storage before check-in and after check-out is possible in a locker in the common room.

The tourist sights are all within walking distance from the hostel. The Lake of Zurich is just 200m away, the art museum and the opera house are only five minutes walking distance. The famous Café Odeon is just around the corner.
