About us
Welcome to the Purple Monkey Hostel, situated in the El Poblado district of Medellin and just a short walk away from the best nightlife in Parque Lleras. The Purple Monkey hostel has been designed for a new breed of traveller who not only wants to explore the world, but wants to share amazing experiences with other travellers. Our focus is not only to deliver excellent facilities and top quality service, but encourage interaction between guests to help like minded individuals forge long lasting

Accommodation
Purple Monkey Hostel is based in a large residential property, with dorm rooms of 4, 6, 10 and 12 beds. All our rooms feature custom made oak bunk beds with the best orthopedic mattresses designed to give the best night's sleep possible. Each bed has its own personal locker and a private plug socket to allow you to charge your electrical appliances in a secure environment.

Services and activities
The second floor houses the roof terrace which is the biggest of any hostel in the city. On the roof terrace is situated the bar which serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Downstairs are two communal areas, the TV room, with two sofas in front of the 48 inch Samsung plasma TV and the bean bag area which surrounds a fully functional colonial fountain. Surroundings
Located in El Poblado, only a 5 minute walk from the bars and restaurants of Parque Lleras in one direction and 5 minutes to the Metro in the other, it is home to Medellin's more affluent individuals and the majority of the expat community who now call it home. Medellin's nightlife is centred around Parque Lleras, a small park at the heart of El Poblado which is bordered on all sides by vibrant bars and clubs.
