About us
Managua Backpackers Inn (or 'MBI' as we like to call ourselves!) was established in 2008.

We, the owners and staff, have created Managua Backpackers Inn to serve backpackers and budget travelers of all ages as part of our vision to offer a hostel in Managua that provides the services to support the modern traveler. Whether you're just passing through Managua at the start of your trip or if your planning on spending an extended period of time in Managua, we offer the perfect social environment.

Accommodation
At MBI, you can choose from one of our 4 dormitories and 8 private rooms. In total, we can accommodate up to 30 people in dormitories and another 23 in our private rooms, making us the perfect choice for solo travelers and large groups.

Our spacious property features two shared kitchens, a swimming pool and breakfast cafe along with lots of comfy hammocks to relax in! We also offer free high-speed wireless internet as well as lots of space to relax and meet other travelers.

With over 50 shops and restaurants, Metro Centro is a shopping mall offering everything from Banks, ATMs (dispensing both $US and Cordobas) to department stores, a supermarket, electronics shops and cinemas.

The hostel is located within a 5 minute walk from La Union, which is a full service supermarket selling all types of groceries including fresh meats, vegetables, fruits and much more.

We are a 1 minute walk from Farmadescuento, which is a pharmacy.

A travel agency is located a 5 min away.
