About us
Tarrafal's Meeting Point is a hostel created by Kaida, an American expat who discovered the unique village of Tarrafal while tracing her African roots. She created the hostel with the motive to provide clean and inexpensive lodging while creating a 'pangea' to join travelers from all over the world. She also started a free dance team 'Na Pontu' for young girls ages 6-12 years old.

Accommodation
There are 9 rooms:

2 dorms each which have 6 single beds (no bunk beds)
2 triple rooms each which have 1 double bed and 1 single bed
2 basic double rooms which have 1 double bed
2 deluxe double rooms which have 1 double bed and an attached bathroom
1 quadruple room which has 2 double beds

linens and blankets are included, towels are rented for an extra charge of 1 euro per towel, there are no tvs or air conditioners in the rooms

Services and activities
We have two lounge areas, a small area with games and books, 2 common kitchens, 2 common balconies, 2 laundry areas (subject to a fee per usage), breakfast is available for an additional 300 escudos (3 euros) per person, we have free wifi, we also have a free concierge desk to help tourists organize tours

Surroundings
We are located in the center, across from the Parque das Merendas and Mercado Municipal. We are joined with the Post Office (Correios). We are a 4 minute walking distance from the beach.

Why should you stay with us
We have the lowest rate on the island. We can accommodate groups as large as 30 persons. We take pride in our clean facilities. Our friendly staff is what distinguishes us !
