Finnegan's Hostel is located in a delightful 3 storey Georgian style building. Tralee's famous Denny Family built the original structure in 1826 using stones of the old town castle.
More recently it's been renovated and is today a warm, friendly, 40 bed hostel. All rooms are en-suite. There are 5 double rooms and 6 dorm rooms featuring choices of 6 and 4 beds.
A spacious kitchen, large dining room and a comfy lounge area (with TV) are available for guest's convenience. The huge open fireplace in the lounge area is a marvelous treat on chilly evenings & frosty winter nights!
Adding to the popularity of the hostel is Finnegan's Cellar Restaurant. Located below the hostel, it offers sensational sea food delicacies, superior steaks and a terrific selection of wines. Truly great value for a excellent dinning experience.
Finnegan's Hostel is located in the hart of Tralee at 17 Denny Street. This one-way street is located just off the main Castle Street. You'll find Finnegan's on the right hand side as you walk down Denny Street.
Across the street from Finnegan's is the spacious town park with its marvelous Rose Garden, a feature of the annual International Rose of Tralee Festival .
We are literally a 2 minute walk from the Kerry County Museum, the Tourist Office and only a 5 minute walk from the bus and train station
