Why 'Yo-Ho-Hostel' ?

In the 19th century the Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer Robert Louis Stevenson wrote a pirate song : 'Yo-Ho-Ho and a bottle of rum' - for his book 'Treasure Island' and because we are situated on the Black sea coast, in 2006 we decided to give this name to our hostel.

Where are we on the map?

Yo-Ho-Hostel is the most central place for accommodation in Varna! Every young and alternative looking person in the city can tell you where Yo-Ho-Hostel is situated. If you arrive at the Railway or Bus station, you can call us and use our free pick up service, or from the Airport we can order for you the cheapest taxi company to drop you off at our front door. Walking, it is very easy to find too. We are on the Central square, just behind the Tourist Information Center. The address is 23,' Ruse' Street and here you will see a colorful door with a lot of graffiti art ' this is Yo-Ho-Hostel! Our GPS coordinates are: 43*12.216 N , 027*54.619 E

What about the hostel facilities?

Yo-Ho-Hostel has rooms for any wish - all of them are situated in our big house:

OUR BATHROOMS ARE COMBO WITH TOILETS !!! They will be clean before you entrance - to clean them after yourself, shows us how well educated are you !
Our self-catering kitchen is fully equipped and you can make coffee or tea for free. We have a sunny and quiet common room with free breakfast every morning and internet access. In the Yo-Ho basement we have a rehearsal studio with guitars, drums and mics. There is a bar, table football and also a fireplace for a BBQ. The whole hostel is covered with Wi-fi. We are pet and children friendly.

Security first, you say, we say - is it O.K.

All dorm rooms in Yo-Ho-Hostel are with personal lockers. Every room can be locked, the floor for accommodation is secured with a locked front door and the whole building is permanently locked. If you need any help we are 24 hours in the hostel. We have a security place for bikes and other vehicles and illuminated street parking for cars in front of the hostel. On the first floor of Yo-Ho we have an exchange office- don't change money on the street.

Do you like a place with unique character?

Everywhere in Yo-Ho-Hostel you can enjoy wall art and graffiti by different artists. When you enter the building your first impression is that you are in a sunk pirate ship on the bottom of the sea. Going upstairs you will walk past strange underwater creatures and when you reach the accommodation floor, you will go out of the water into a wild beach- you then enter a wooden bungalow. Above you can see flying seagulls around the sun. Inside Yo-Ho there are many sculptures, paintings and art photos. If you are lucky you can see some of the guest exhibitions visiting us. Everywhere in the rooms there are beautiful plants and flowers, in the common area you can take a photo with our unique Mexican walking fish and next to the reception desk you can meet Yemen 's chameleon. In the attic you can find an exchange library and' The Toys' museum - with over 600 pieces of small 'Kinder surprise' characters. There are many hidden art installations all around Yo-Ho-Hostel, which represent our own style and character !

Who is working in Yo-Ho-Hostel?
Toni - our Princess. She will give you a big smile when you wake up for breakfast and when you come back from the beach everything in the hostel will be cleaned - because of her.
L.G .- The Night guide. He will take care of your fun at night and help you to be without memories in the morning time!
Roska with guitar - The Musician. He plays many musical instruments and you can find him every night in the Yo-Ho basement rehearsing with different bands.
Stefan - The Tour guide. He loves to speak with guests about history and geography. If you can't find him in the hostel - he is with backpackers on a day trip or bungee jumping - tomorrow it will be your turn!
Ziggy - The Jack Russel. The most social and friendly dog - our house keeper!
