About us
Both is your home away from home, right in the heart of Helsinki. Both has been operating as a hostel since 1968, previously known as Hostel Domus Academica.

As our guest, we wish to offer you the best possible experience. Both is known for high quality, good service, a good feeling and a smile. These are matters of honour to us.

Our friendly and multilingual staff are there to help you around the clock. We do our best to make you feel welcome and comfortable, and we hope you have the best stay of your life.

Accommodation
Our 326 spacious and light rooms fill up during the summer with guests ranging from backpackers to conference visitors. We have both shared male or female dormitory rooms as well as private single, twin and triple rooms.

All rooms have private facilities such as an en suite bathroom, a shower and a kitchenette. Kitchen utensils are provided and more can be borrowed from our reception. Bed linen, towel and morning sauna are included. All rooms have a free WiFI connection.

Services and activities
A buffet breakfast is available each morning until the 31st August 2019 at an additional cost at Restaurant Metropol, which is in the same building as Both Helsinki.
From the 1st September 2019, the delicious Both Breakfast will be served at the hostel's reception every day from 07:00 to 10:30. Both Breakfast includes a croissant, jam, fruit, juice and coffee or tea.


In case you are arriving by car, we also rent parking palces for extra charge. Free luggage room is provided.

Surroundings
Both is located in Kamppi, a 10-min walk from the Central Railway Station. There are many shops, shopping centers, supermarkets, restaurants and sights near the property. Main attractions such as the Rock Church and Sibelius monument are within walking distance.

The tram and bus stops are close and the train and Metro station are only a short walk away.
