The Lily Pad is conveniently located and just a short 5 minutes walk from the center of town.

The inn is two neighbor buildings with nice gardens, which are typical bai-minority style. The rooms are clean and comfortably furnished and available for rent by the month, week or day. We have two styles of rooms. One is Modern and the other is bai minority style which is decorated with all handcrafted furnitures and antiques.

Enjoy great scenery from our rooftop: Erhai Lake, Dali's No.1 Pagoda, and Cang Mountain.

We are located about 600 meters on the MAIN ROAD south of the OUT SIDE West Gate.

Please note:
Dali train station and the main bus stations (where many buses from Kunming drop you off) are located in Dali City (Xiaguan).
We are located in Dali Old town which is 15KM north of Dali City(Xiaguan).

1. Guests who take train to Dali
A. Arrival time from 8am to 7pm
Take Three Pagoda Line（三塔寺专线）to the stop “Hong Long Jing(红龙井)”.Get off the bus and face mountain to cross road, then turn right to walk for 1 minutes. THe Lily Pad signboard could be seen on your left. Go uphill 20 meters, you can see Lily Pad. Buses go every 30 minutes and it takes u 40 minutes to 1 hour. 1.5 yuan per person.
B. Arrival time from 8am to 10pm
Take a taxi to Xiao Hua Yuan Bus station on Xingsheng Road to take Mini BUS (下关-大理) to Dali Old Town. Get off bus at the stop “Hong Long Jing(红龙井)”. Face the mountain to cross the road and turn right to walk for 1 minutes, The Lily Pad signboard could be seen on your left. Go uphill 20 meters, you can see Lily Pad. It takes you 40 minutes to 1 hour. 3 yuan per person.
C. Arrival time before 8:00am or after 10pm
You’d better take a taxi which cost around 60 yuan.
Before getting on the taxi, please ask the driver to contact us to get information how to come in case he drops you off somewhere.

2. The guests who take bus to Dali
--You can take Mini Bus “Xiaguan-Dali Old Town”. Get off bus at the stop “Hong Long Jing(红龙井)”. Face the mountain to cross the road and turn right to walk for 1 minutes, The Lily Pad signboard could be seen on your left. Go uphill 20 meters, you can see Lily Pad. It takes you 40 minutes to 1 hour. 3 yuan per person.
Xiao Hua Yuan Bus Station on Xingsheng Road(兴盛路小花园客运站)
If you take big bus with 45 seats, the bus usually stops at this bus station. In front of station you can find Mini Bus.
Main bus station (快速客运站)
If you take normal bus with 35 seats, the bus usually stops at this bus station. Out of station, walk north for 10 minutes to Xiao Hua Yuan Bus Station. Then take a mini bus over there.
3.If you take No. 8 bus by mistake
No. 8 bus(6:30am-8:30pm): If you mis-take No.8 bus, please get off at the stop Dali Old Town east gate and take battery car to west gate, 3yuan/person. Cross the road and turn left to walk 600 meters, then you can see the sign-board of Lily Pad Inn, turn right to go uphill for 20meters.
NO.8 bus go every 10 minutes, which takes 40 minutes to 1 hour, 1.5yuan/person.
4. If you take a taxi
Before getting on the taxi, please ask the driver to contact us to get information how to come in case he drops you off somewhere. Usually taxis charge around 60 yuan without hitting list.
