Zenkoji Tokugyoubou is a "shukubo" a lodging at a temple. Shukubo is similar to traditional Japanese inns but at a shukubo you can join their morning prayers and enjoy shojin ryori. It is a special austere, vegetarian meal for monks. Zenkoji Tokugyoubou is a shukubo of Zenkoji Temple which is one of the most well-known Buddhist temples in Japan. About 10 min. from JR Nagano Station by bus.
The rooms are traditional Japanese rooms with tatami mats. A light cotton kimono is offered.
Meals are offered at the guest rooms.

About 10 min from JR Nagano Station by bus. Take the bus (100Yen / from Bus Terminal #1) that will take you to Zenkoji Temple and get off at Daimon Stop. About 2 min walk from the bus stop. Our place is near the Zenkoji Temple but located one block behind the 'Sandoh' main street to the Zenkoji Temple.
