We want to introduce travelers from all over the world the beauty of Taiwan, particularly Hualien County. We wish to make our hostel as one of your memorable stops in Taiwan.

Hualien is noted for its amazing natural attractions like Taroko Gorge, Li Yu Lake, Mukumugi, Chi-Hsing Tan BEACH, Lin Tian Mountain etc.

There are many outdoor activities to do in Hualien, including Whitewater rafting, Canyoning, firefly in spring, surfing, mountain-climbing, Biking and Hiking Trails, Whale watch tour, pedal boat, hot spring and flower farm in winter etc.

Colorful Taiwan Hostel is hosted by experienced backpackers who have visited over forty countries and numerous accommodations. We can offer all the detailed information of Hualien, where to go, when to go, where to eateverything you need to know about Hualien. Our lobby is very cozy with a big couch, where you can sit back and relax, reading, listening to music, surfing internet or just doing nothing.

We care about your safety. so we made sure to use a very strong teak (type of wood) bed which will not shake when the upper bed is moving. We provide warm and soft bed quilt and pillow. There is toilet, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, locker, Wi-Fi, A/C, small desk and chair, dressing mirror, small balcony and drying clothes rack in every room.

We don't have pick up service. Because we just located 3 blocks from the train station.

Please arrive within 1 hr of your scheduled arrival time or let us know in advance if you change your arrival time.

Our reception hours are from 15:00 pm till 10:30 pm.
If you check in after 10:30 pm we will charge 100 NTD for overtime pay.

Your rooms/beds will be canceled after midnight on the day of arrival if you have not contacted us before hand to let us know you're going to be late. Thanks!

Please note that upon arrival full payment is due in cash (NTD). Credit cards and debit cards are not accepted.

Specially deposit arrangement during Chinese New Year and Summer Holiday (From May 1 to September 30).
-Except for the 10% management fee charged by hostleworld, any booking exceed NTD 5,000 in the captioned period will be required to pay an additional 30% deposit in order to secure the booking.
Cancellation Arrangement
-The 10% management fee charged by Hostleworld is not refundable in any condition.
-Notification of cancellation 2 weeks or more prior to the expected arrival date, all 30% deposit can be refunded (excluding any bank charges or transfer fee involved in the transaction).
-Notification of cancellation within 2 days to 2 weeks, prior to the expected arrival date, all one third of the 30% deposit can be refunded (excluding any bank charges or transfer fee involved in the transaction).
-Notification of cancellation within 2 days, no refund can be made.
