We're proud to announce that Equity Point London has just won the 2011 Best Accommodation in United Kingdom Award given by the British Educational Travel Association (BETA) on its BYTA Awards.

Equity Point has opened a new property in the Paddington area called The Equity Point London. It's located next to the train station and is well-connected with Heathrow Airport, which makes arrival and departure to the property very convenient. We're in front of Hyde Park, the biggest park in England, and a five-minute walk to Nothing Hill.

Combining a Georgian-style building with the modern updates that we've added inside, the result is comfort with a great atmosphere. We have designed the property to feature private rooms, family rooms, and dorms with four, six and eight beds, with facilities inside - all with modern technology. Bed linen is included and our property is wheelchair accessible.

Our facilities include free breakfast with coffee, tea, milk, juices, cereals, fruits, toast. There's also a common area with TV, Wi-Fi and a bar, plus lockers, tours and transfers.

Equity Point couldn't wait any longer to enter this large European capital, a worldwide tourist reference point and possibly one of the most exciting cities in the world.

There aren't too many new things that we can uncover about London for you, one of the worldwide capitals by excellence, a unique cosmopolitan city with the perfect combination of history and modernity.

Located in the southeast of Great Britain and crossed by the River Thames, London is a metropolis of about 8 million residents. Within a stretch of about 2.6 km2, we can find historic buildings such as Westminster Palace with the famous Big Ben, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace, or more avant-garde and modern architectural references such as the London City Hall, the Swiss Re Tower or the Millennium Bridge.

It's recognized as one of the cultural capitals of the world with a concentration of many internationally renowned museums such as the British Museum or the Tate Modern, and theatres: the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal National Theatre or the London Coliseum... The fame of these museums, for the quality of the exhibitions and for the fact that they are free, has made them an attraction for all travellers that value culture and history. And we mustn't forget the musical offer of the London theatres, which are only comparable to Broadway.

London is also known for its commercial variety. Boutiques, shopping centres and large markets offer all types of items that will satisfy all tastes, styles and budgets. A stroll through Camden Town, Nothing Hill, Covent Garden or Oxford Street has become a must, even for those that can't stand shopping.

London is also a reference point for businesses, as it's considered one of the top four worldwide economies along with New York, Paris and Tokyo.
However, eight million Londoners and more than 16 million annual tourists couldn't enjoy London without the beauty of its parks: Hyde Park or Regent's Park, among others, are authentic green hearts for the city and thanks to a northern meteorology, they are full of life throughout the entire year.

London has four large airports: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton. Heathrow is the world's busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic.

Getting around the large city of London is fairly simple thanks to the enormous underground network and the typical red double-decker buses that go all over the city.

Samuel Johnson, better known as Dr. Johnson, a writer, poet, lexicographer and literary critic of the 18th century, made a phrase famous that perfectly describes the intensity and variety of this city: If you're tired of London, you're tired of life. If you come to visit, we're sure you'll come back.

Please note that persons under the age of 18 years are only allowed to stay in private rooms or dormitory rooms that are booked for use of one family or group of persons, and cannot share the dormitory rooms with other guests. People under 18 years old must travel with their parents or legal tutor.
