Stay in downtown Boston aboard the SCHOONER LIBERTY CLIPPER on our 'Boat and Breakfast'. A unique experience. Enjoy the best rates in town, while staying in the historic waterfront district of Boston, a block from the North End and Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market.
You'll stay on a working tall ship in one of our cabins. We only make a few cabins available each day and they go quickly. All cabins feature a skylight, hot/cold water running sink and are paneled in yellow pine to provide an authentic tall ship experience. Our six cabins share three heads (bathrooms) and three showers which are spaced evenly throughout the ship.
Our B&B is 'hostel' style. We are a working schooner, so while the ship is out sailing, you'll have your day free to explore the city ashore (unless you sign up for the harbor cruise that's out sailing at that time). Most days the ship is out sailing from Noon to 8:00 PM, however, some days may start earlier or go later with either private charters or special events.
Breakfast will be continental and be available from 8:00 AM through 9:00 AM. Checkout is by 10 AM each day.
PLEASE NOTE: Our published rates do not include taxes. The Boston Hotel Tax will be added to the cost of your reservation when the Liberty completes your booking.
After you book your reservation through Hostel World, The Liberty Fleet will finalize your reservation and email you a receipt for your completed booking. Please note that after you complete your booking through Liberty Fleet, your B+B reservation becomes non-refundable.
Access to the vessel: The LIBERTY CLIPPER is a working ship that regularly conducts both public and private sailing events in Boston Harbor. You will not have access to your cabin (room) aboard the ship while a trip is in progress. If the ship is hosting a public sailing event, you may book a ticket for that cruise and stay aboard for the sail (30% discount available excluding black-out dates and special events). In the event of a private charter or if you do not purchase a ticket for a public sail, you will need to stay ashore during the cruise. When you check-in we will provide you with the ship's schedule for the day. The ship typically offers three two-hour sails from 12:00 noon until 8:00pm each day, however, our schedule may start earlier or go later and is subject to change.
Check-In time: You may check in anytime between 10:00am and 6:00pm at the Liberty Fleet Office at 67 Long Wharf. Please do NOT proceed directly to the vessel as you must receive instructions at the office prior to boarding. You may leave your bags at the ship's office upon check-in and a crew-member will bring them to your cabin for you. NOTE: We cannot accommodate late check-ins. If you cannot arrive before 6pm on your check-in day, you will not be able to stay on the ship that night, please contact us before you book if you have any questions on this policy.
Check-Out time: Check out time will be 10:00am and may be sooner in the event of a scheduled public sail or private charter.
Refund/Rescheduling Policy: Non-Refundable, cannot be rescheduled. Once purchased, reservations cannot be refunded and cannot be rescheduled. You space has been guaranteed.
Cancellation by Company: Schooner Liberty Clipper, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any booking in the event of a private charter. If the Company cancels your booking for a private charter only, you may reschedule to another comparable time or receive a refund.
Other policies: Children: Minimum age for lodging aboard the Liberty Clipper is 8 years old. Parents must accompany children at all times while aboard the vessel. Rain or Shine: You may not cancel your reservation for inclement weather.
