Our Hostel apartments offer a choice of Private Double, Private Triple or Male/Female 4 Bed Dorms which can be booked by individual travellers. Each apartment has a shared lounge area with TV, DVD, Washing machine etc.

How it Works. All of our Apartments all have 2 lockable bedrooms and a shared lounge, bathroom and kitchen area. Individuals bookings can share a 2 bed room apartment with someone else and groups of 4 or more have the option of booking both rooms and having exclusive use of the apartment. We also have some Apartments with 2 x 4 Bed Rooms which are great for groups as we can offer a combination of private Twin Rooms for the leaders and 4 Bed Rooms for the group all in private apartments.

**NEW - APRIL 2011 - FOLLOWING CUSTOMER FEEDBACK ** We have now fitted Mechanical locks to all Rooms and Dorms for added security.

The Old Schoolhouse, formerly a childrens School , is a very unique and historic place to stay during your time in Edinburgh. Enter through the Boys or Girls entrance and check in to your wonderfully renovated apartment in what was once a historic Edinburgh School .

Located just a short walk from Edinburgh's Train and Bus Stations and 5 minute walk from the world renowned Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. There are few better locations to explore the historic old town of Edinburgh with all its cafes, bars, shops and clubs.

If you are checking in between 10 am and 5 pm, please do so at our main reception at 13 West Port, Edinburgh EH1 2GE. This is less than 5 minutes walk from the Old Schoolhouse.

Please note ,that this address is different from The Old School House and as such we will provide transport links to Drummond Street within these times.

Check in's out with our normal reception hours (10am-5pm) are by prior arrangement only. To arrange an out of hours check in you are required call or email. If you arrive without prior contact and do not get access to your room we will charge your credit card in full.
