Berchtesgaden Youth Hostel is located on a hill outside the market community of Berchtesgaden, about 25 minutes on foot from the railway station, and offers impressive views of the Watzmann mountain and Berchtesgaden National Park.
Made up of various buildings situated in large, park-like grounds with magnificent old trees, the hostel is ideal for sports, games, and leisure pursuits and also offers a toddlers' playground close to one of the buildings.
When the countryside lies beneath a blanket of snow in winter, the hostel not only serves as a starting point for skiing but is also centrally located for winter activities such as snowshoe hiking and guided tours in Berchtesgaden National Park.
Berchtesgaden Youth Hostel is suitable for all age groups and weekend stays, and attracts children’s groups, NGO conference groups, families and winter sports enthusiasts.
